How it works

The image below illustrates a Mal's e-commerce Multiple Price Options Add-to-Cart form integrated within a Product Ad:
Important Note:
With Mal's e-commerce, you can utilize multiple item numbers with each having a different price within the same Add-to-Cart form. With Paypal, you can have only one item number and different prices within the same Add-to-Cart form. You therefore need to choose your options carefully if you are going to use multiple price options with Paypal. You can observe this behavior if you test the sample forms below. If you are a Paypal user, you can still use Mal's e-commerce shopping cart. Mal's cart can port all final shopping cart transactions to Paypal if desired.

Strictly for comparison purposes, the following Paypal example is basically identical to the above Mal's example. It is not a good example, but it shows you that you must choose your options carefully since the Paypal Add-to-Cart form supports only one item number (see the HTML code below). If you need to utilize Multiple Price Options, then it would be better to use Mal's shopping cart because Mal's supports multiple items numbers.

Instructions:
[1] First fill out the Item Name / Price Option Set table below with your Shopping Cart data options.
[2] Select an Item Name / Price Option Set from the drop-down scroll box. Selecting an item will retrieve the selected item data from the Item Name / Price Option Set table and create a temporary Add-to-Cart HTML form.
[3] Select a Product Ad from the drop-down scroll box. Making a selection will retrieve the selected Product Ad from the Database and place it into the Design form on the Product Design sheet. In this step, the newly created Add-to-Cart form code is not yet transferred back to either the Design form or the Database sheet but is displayed in the large preview cell. Refer to step [6] to transfer the Add-to-Cart form code back to the Database sheet.

[5] To preview the new Product Ad. press the Preview HTML Product Ad button. This will transfer the Add-to-Cart form code to the Design Form on the Product Design sheet and display the results in your web browser. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can always press the Refresh button on the Product Design sheet to re-retrieve the original data from the Database.
[6] To transfer the new Add-to-Cart form code back into the Database's Custom Add-to-Cart Form field for the selected Product Ad, press the Transfer Form to Database button.
If you prefer to manually add the Add-to-Cart form code to the Custom Add-to-Cart Form field in the Database, then refer to the instructions presented in the HTML preview page. To have these instructions displayed on the HTML preview page, check the Display Manual Instructions check box.
Home Page Special Product Ads
If you place a Product Ad that contain a custom Add-to-Cart form onto the home page as a Home Page Special, then both the Add-to-Cart form and button on this page will be replaced with a text hyperlink such as "More Information". Clicking on the text hyperlink will take the customer to the specific product page that contains the ad where they can then purchase the product.
